All Philippine citizens are able to apply for replacement passports, no matter how long ago they may have been expired or lost. If he is currently in the Philippines, check with the Embassy (https://ph.usembassy.gov/) for further instructions.

Hello,
My son lost his Philippine passport around year 2012 in the U.S. it was expired over 20 years ago
can he still renew or apply for a new replacement in Philippine Consulate in the U.S.
what are the requirements or documents he might need to process this?

Hello po. It is said that if I am with a child 7 years old or younger I don’t have to get an appointment or I can just walk in to any DFA office. If so, where can I get the application forms for renewal of our passports? Thank you.

Hello Rexter,

I’ve never done it myself but I think the best you can do is go to the Philippines Embassy and get a letter to show at the immigration in Thailand or get an emergency passport (this is normally valid for a year and for a sole purpose of getting home). You can also contact the immigration office of Thailand and voice your concern, if you do so, remember to get a letter as a proof that the immigration office is fine with your passport with less than 6 months.

I’m sorry that I can’t help much more but you want to find the best way to deal with this before you fly to avoid hassle on the airport.

I hope you can notice my email. Tanong ko lang po sana kasi I’ll be having my vacation for 20days in the Philippines on March 26, 2020 and my passport will expire on September 18,2020. Can I still travel to go back to the Philippines for vacation at doon nalang po magpaparenew? Kapag po aalis ako ng Thailand, yung validity na po ng passport ko eh mga 5months and 21days po. Salamat.
