Hi Walter,

Sorry that the Schengen didn’t work while you are in Hanoi, I applied thru the Danish Embassy tho.

Regarding your questions:

1. I booke flights that are cancellable in case my application get denied, Expedia let’s you cancel which I use often.

2. I book the hotels on booking. com and filter the ones that have FREE cancellation

3. I always mark on my application 3 months (90days) and make all the bookings for the whole 90 days, booked a flight that covers 90 days, made an itinerary that covers the 90 days. For example, Berlin date X to X, Madrid date X to X and so on.. Also list the attractions I want to see while in that city.

4. So far, my two tourist visas for Schengen are for 3 months with multiple entries.

5. Yess, I lot of cancellations and so much work! Just make sure your bookings are either free or note the date when you can cancel for free. It’s something you cannot do anything but to abide by the rules.

I’m a “cano” that loves traveling. Now with my pinoy girl we have been travelling Philippines then Asia. While in Hanoi I noticed you got a
schengen visa for Denmark. I tried while in Hanoi also at the Spanish and the Greek embassy but they told me my girl had to go back to Manila to apply.
NOW that we’re here in Manila I went to the Greek Embassy and got the application
Questions: how did you list and BOOK all the HOTELS and AIRLINES that you were going to use in Europe for 3 whole months as they require?
(Without risk)
Did you just say you were going for two weeks but ask for a schengen “C” visa in case you decided to go to another country?
Do you always receive a 3 month visa in case you stay longer?
They said you have to BOOK hotels/airbandb apartments and air travel. If you visit 5 countries and 10 cities that’s a lot of cancellations!
How do you address that challenge?

Hmm, I’ve been wondering how free Filipinos are with their limited Passport access. At least you have some choices without going through the agonizing Visa processes for each different country.
I wonder what Filipinos think of as their top five Filipino destinations inside of the Philippines? Usually not always the tourist traps as we might assume, but other not so obvious spots to travel.

For me, the cheapest of all is Vietnam <3

Vietnam offers great food and a good price for ALMOST everything (as long as how you ask for discount). I feel in love easily with this country. I can live with just eating Bahn Mi.

Cambodia is also cheap; however. they use most USD than their local currency. Everything has a price in Cambodia but it's a nice place to visit too 🙂

Thailand is like PH (minus the clean and good BTS or MRT). Your feet will complain of the many temples that Ayutthaya can offer 🙂 Nonetheless, its a good place to visit too.

In reply to Chris. That's true! It's not like Europe that you can find cheap flight even quite far from your home country. But in the Philippines, flight is not very cheap as we are sitting in the middle of the ocean! :D
